Over the years, Mister Cee has struggled to live his truth. In both 2011 and 2013, Mister Cee was caught, messing with transsexual women. The fallout from the second incident led to him quitting his job, at Hot 97.

However, his fans and co-workers convinced Mister Cee not to quit. Instead, he gave an emotional interview, where he spoke on matters. Everyone gave Mister Cee tons of support, respecting his honesty.

Mister Cee visited Maino, speaking on his “Kitchen Talk Podcast.” In that interview, Maino went right for it, asking Mister Cee about the transsexual women. Now comfortable talking about it, Mister Cee said that was his thing, but denies ever messing with actual men, and says he does not identify as gay.
