The world grew accustomed to hearing “Mike WiLL Made It” before hearing many of their favorite songs. In 2012, Mike WiLL produced some of the biggest hits of the year. One notable track would be “Bands a Make Her Dance” by Juicy J. But, Mike WiLL Made It also produced hit singles for 2 Chainz and others.
2 Chainz came into 2012 with momentum off being a mixtape rapper. While he scored major hits with “Riot” and other mixtape songs, 2 Chainz had to make the transition into mainstream stardom. In making this transition, 2 Chainz turned to Mike WiLL Made It for his “No Lie” single with Drake.
Other songs produced by Mike WiLL Made It include Future’s “Turn on the Lights,” which became a major hit during the fall. Later, Mike WiLL produced Rihanna’s “Pour it Up,” which he talked about today. Mike WiLL Made It talked to Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” about his work in 2012 and plans for 2013.
