Tory Lanez released his new “Daystar” album today where he denied shooting Megan Thee Stallion and how he was set up by people close to her. He also dissed the likes of Kehlani and JoJo for taking him off of their songs along with stars such as Bun B, Chance The Rapper, and former NBA star, JR Smith.
Now, Megan’s reps are on the offensive now as they are accusing Lanez’s team of going on a smear campaign following the shooting in July, according to TMZ. Megan’s attorney, Alex Spiro, says fake emails were sent out in order to slander her name.
“We have been made aware of manipulated text messages and invented email accounts that have been disseminated to the media in a calculated attempt to peddle a false narrative about the events that occurred on July the 12th.”
One incident was where Lanez’s team allegedly posed as a fake LIV promoter in Miami to reveal how Roc Nation influenced Prince from ‘Love and Hip-Hop Miami to sue Lanez. This week, Price did file a lawsuit against Lanez as he was beat down by him and his security at LIV in November of last year. Another fake Gmail account was supposedly used to send a video of a man who says he’s Lanez ex-bodyguard The man said that he never saw Lanez get violent with women and that he can’t speak on the shooting incident because he wasn’t there that night.
Now, the big question is when will Megan address the album. Don’t be surprised if it goes down as early as tonight on Instagram Live.
