Megan Thee Stallion has had another epic year. She released her ‘Suga‘ EP in March which was led by her new “B.I.T.C.H.” single which samples 2Pac’s 1996 “Ratha Be Ya N****” record. She then revealed that 1501 Certified Entertainment would not let her release new music but then, she got a temporary restraining order and released the EP.

The biggest record to come out of the Suga project ended up being “Savage.” It ended up being a social media sensation as well as a young lady named Keara Wilson created a dance for it as we also saw Megan dance to it. At the end of April, Megan surprised everyone as she released the remix to the song featuring fellow Houston legend, Beyoncé.

The remix debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 right behind Doja Cat’s “Say So” remix feat. Nicki Minaj. Savage remix took the No. 1 spot in May though which gave Megan her first No.1  song. Now, it has also been certified 2x platinum by the RIAA, according to Chart Data. This is after 2 million total units were sold in the US.

Savage remix is arguably the hottest release of 2020 and it was the collab that music fans desired. On New Year’s Eve, Megan took photos with Beyoncé and Bey’s daughter, Blue Ivy. From that point, it seemed that working on a song together was definitely coming in the foreseen future.
