The 63rd annual GRAMMYs will be airing live at 8pm ET but the premiere ceremony is going down right now as plenty of awards have been handed out. One of the latest ones is for Best Rap Performance. The nominees here are Lil Baby’s “The Bigger Picture,” Roddy Ricch’s “The Box,” Drake’s “Laugh Now Cry Later” feat. Lil Durk, DaBaby’s “Rockstar” feat. Roddy Ricch, and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” remix feat. Beyoncé.

The Best Rap Performance award officially goes to Megan Thee Stallion and Bey. This also marks Megan’s first Grammy win. This is also the first all-female collaboration to win this award.

Savage remix ended up being released in late April and two weeks later, became the No. 1 song in the US on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. That was a week after Doja Cat’s “Say So” remix feat. Nicki Minaj hit No. 1. Both Say So remix and Savage remix became the first time that four Black women occupied the top two spots of the Hot 100.

Savage remix’s proceeds went on to go to Bread of Life Houston for COVID-19 relief. This helped 14 tons of food and supplies be sent to 500 families and 100 senior citizens in the Houston community. The Savage record itself also went on to be certified platinum in the US. It also appeared on Megan’s 2020 debut studio album, “Good News,” which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart is platinum in the US.
