Megan Thee Stallion has had an epic week for herself as she released the remix to her new hit single, “Savage” featuring fellow Houston legend, Beyoncé. Fans were begging for this collaboration since the start of 2020 as Megan took photos with Bey and her daughter, Blue Ivy, on NYE. This remix is already regarded as one of the hottest records of the year. The original version has already went gold but platinum status with the Beyoncé remix is very likely.
Last year, Megan’s mother, Holly passed away along with her grandmother, in the same month of March. Today is Holly’s birthday and Megan took to Instagram this morning to post a beautiful tribute.
“Happy birthday mama 💛💛💛 I miss you everyday ! I know you’re watching over me rooting for me and keeping me going. I don’t have you physically here telling me what I should do so I’ve been trying to figure it out on my own remembering all the advice and lessons you’ve taught me before. You are such a strong woman and I promise to make you proud and be one too! We love you Holly!”
Holly passed at the time Megan was starting to take off as a star with her “Big Ole Freak” single. This track was released back in the summer of 2018 on her ‘Tina Snow‘ mixtape. Her mother would definitely be proud of her right now as she’s one of the biggest artists in the game. 2019 was full of breakout success with hits such as “Realer,” “Cash S*it” featuring DaBaby,”Hot Girl Summer” feat. Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign. Last month, Megan released her ‘Suga’ EP which featured the Savage single along with the other latest hit, “B.I.T.C.H.” which sampled 2Pac’s 1996 “Ratha Be Ya N*gga” record.
