In March 2020, Megan Thee Stallion went on Instagram Live, and vented how 1501 Certified Entertainment CEO, Carl Crawford, wouldn’t let her put out new music. Megan ended up getting a court order, which allowed her to put out her “Suga” EP. That contained the smash hit single, “Savage.”
Now, Megan is running into more issues regarding music releases with 1501 and Crawford, according to TMZ. The Houston rapper wants to get on BTS’ chart-topping “Butter” single’s remix, but Crawford isn’t letting the green light turn on for this.
Butter remix is supposed to be out this Friday. Court documents state that Megan revealed that Crawford doesn’t think this is a good collab for her career. Megan wants to expand her fan base, and working with BTS, would do just that, as they’re some of the biggest artists in the world.
Megan went on to say that how 1501 wants to “shake her down for 6-figures and force her to pay them to sign off on the song’s release.” At this point, she is looking to get approval from a judge to let this huge collab with BTS happen.
