Literally, there isn’t anything MC Lyte doesn’t do. Not only is she the voice of the BET Awards, she is also featured in an episode of its newest series, “Tales.” Two weeks have passed since the series premiere and people are still talking.
Irv Gotti, the “Tales” creator, said the only thing that would have made episode one a classic is if Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, or MC Ren played the judge. For various reasons, they all told him they were unavailable. It was due to that, he played the role.
But, episode two stars Keith Powers, playing the slain rapper, Gutta, in a remake of Meek Mill’s “Cold Hearted.” The rapper gets murdered and MC Lyte is portraying the detective on the case. MC Lyte is the first person seen in the episode and Twitter was definitely here for her, tonight.
