In 2009, the hip hop world was shocked when Max B was sentenced to 75 years in prison. Max B had been affiliated with The Diplomats and was beginning to make a name for himself after the affiliation ended. There were some who felt Max B could have been the next big thing. All of this hype turned to shock when Max B was hauled off to prison.

Two years after Max B was sent to prison, the rapper seemed confident in his 2012 prison release. His legal team filed an appeal and Max B was optimistic, perhaps a little too much. Things were looking up for Max, as his name became a topic of discussion, again, and his team, French Montana, had been successful recently. The only missing component was Max B.

The stage was set for a comeback from Max B. French Montana has become one of the most-anticipated new artists in the game since 50 Cent and he announced Max B would be featured on his debut album. Had things gone according to the plan, Max B would have used his spot on French Montana’s album to re-launch his career and regain the buzz he once had. This was not the case, however, as Max B’s appeal failed and he will now spend the next thirty years in prison, before having the possiblity of parole.
