Recently, a young lady by the name of Marley Dias has gained national attention. All the hoopla is due to Marley Dias creating a book drive called 1000 Black Girl Books. The name is self-explanatory and she has the whole world paying attention to her drive.
Marley Dias is making appearances in the news and many mainstream media outlets have picked up her story. As the days go by, even more people will speak to Marley Dias about her drive. Tonight, she will make her Comedy Central debut.
Larry Wilmore is inviting Marley Dias on “The Nightly Show.” She will be there, discussing why she has created this drive. Her goal is to display more books with black girls as the protagonist.
