Terms certain people don’t like to hear are “White privilege” and “Black Lives Matter.” However, these phrases exist for a reason, which will be explained. These two young men are still alive, after having a homemade explosive device, which they intended to detonate.
Residing in Marion County, Florida, a deputy sheriff spotted these kids, arresting them for Possession of a Homemade Explosive Device. A felony, this is the reason the boys’ faces and names were released. The fact that they are alive is white privilege.
Clayton Pinkerton (left) and Zachary Sullivan (right) are the two boys who were arrested. Despite intending to detonate a bomb, the boys were never held at gunpoint, let alone shot, and they were released back into the custody of their parents. Meanwhile, an hour away, in Orlando, Salaythis Melvin, was shot and killed, by police, because he looked like a suspect.
