Two of hip hop’s biggest labels, Bad Boy Records and Shady Records, have been in need of new life for some time. Both labels have received a major boost in 2011 because of their new additions. Shady, which is owned by Eminem, benefited from adding Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf, while Diddy’s record label, Bad Boy, has benefited from adding Machine Gun Kelly. Over the past week, there have been less than kind words exchanged in the media between Machine Gun Kelly and Yelawolf.

Recently, Machine Gun Kelly came out to clear the rumors about he and Yelawolf. When asked about his relationship with Yelawolf, Machine Gun Kelly said he does not have a problem with him. Thinking of a possible beef, Machine Gun Kelly said hip hop does not need it. Also, with both rappers being white newcomers, he feels it would be dumb of them to begin feuding. Machine Gun Kelly said their issues stem from his interviews, where he has grown tired of the Yelawolf comparisons.

Machine Gun Kelly said people assume their beef began during the cyphers of the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards, but they actually stem from an interview he did. During the interview, Machine Gun Kelly was drunk and he began talking reckless. Despite being drunk, Machine Gun Kelly says his words were misunderstood.
