In 2011, Machine Gun Kelly became the latest rapper from the hip hop revival in Cleveland to land major success. The following year ended up being a breakout year for the Cleveland emcee. His “Wild Boy” single, featuring Waka Flocka Flame, was one of 2012’s first hits.
Machine Gun Kelly brought new life to Bad Boy Records and released his debut album, Lace Up, to much fanfare. In the three years since his album release, Machine Gun Kelly has stayed out of the spotlight. Aside from a few mixtapes, his profile remained low.
However, Machine Gun Kelly is preparing to return to the big stage. He announced his sophomore album, General Admission, months ago. It was last night when Machine Gun Kelly released both the album cover and announced the album release date via his Instagram profile.
