Gaining fame off mixtapes, Mac Miller was one of those rare artists who was born in the 1990s, but has respect for hip hop in the golden era. Mac Miller is releasing new music, but much of it has an old school vibe. While Mac Miller rocks those 1990s beats, he can also hang with the new school.

Detractors of Mac Miller got a thrill when he got into hot water with Lord Finesse, leading to him suing him for $10 million. Landing in two similar incidents with veteran artists, Mac Miller found himself with identical lawsuits. Earlier this year, things were not looking good for Mac Miller and the veterans.

During his interview with The Well Versed, Mac Miller was able to turn things around when he announced his mixtape with DJ Jazzy Jeff. Due to his relationship with Will Smith, Jazzy Jeff was one of the biggest DJs in the late 1980s/early 1990s. The two are coming together for the ’93 Till Infinity mixtape, which will drop early in 2013.
