Being forced to wait four years in between album releases, Lupe Fiasco and his fans fought hard for the 2011 release, Lasers. Carrying the momentum over from “Words I Never Said,” Lupe Fiasco promised to deliver more meaningful raps on his next album. Before the end of 2011, the popular Chicago rapper promised Food & Liquor II.

Food & Liquor II would be released earlier this week, meeting all sorts of critical acclaim. The album did come as Lupe Fiasco was embroiled in a bit of controversy, however. Lupe Fiasco would mention Chief Keef, saying his music scared him. Via Twitter, Chief Keef made numerous disrespectful posts about Lupe Fiasco, prompting him to consider retirement.

Comparable to Waka Flocka Flame, Lupe Fiasco reiterated his statement, going on to say sometimes things make him want to quit. Lupe Fiasco still has his next album in the works, which he plans to release in 2013. In the meantime, Lupe Fiasco interviewed with FUSE TV, talking about his album cover with Ashanti.
