Imagine a person making their first major purchase, the first car they bought on their own, and the dealership embarrassing them. For a young woman, named Trinity Bethune, this is life. She went to Lumberton Honda, to purchase her first car, and they called her “Bon Quisha,” in the congratulatory Facebook post, sparking outrage.
Though not as bad as they were last year, racial tensions are still very high. Now isn’t the time for any business to perpetrate any racial stereotypes. The people are trying to figure out exactly how Lumberton Honda managed to get “Bon Quisha” out of Trinity.
Lumberton Honda posted a congratulations post, on their Facebook, to “Bon Quisha” for the purchase of her car. In the comments, Trinity Bethune responded, asking if this was some kind of joke, seeing how the people had to know her name, since she made the purchase. Her older brother screenshot the post and said this isn’t how he imagined celebrating his sister’s first major buy, and it has now gone viral.
