Tonight, “Empire” ended season two in a way that puts the season one finale to shame. All of the same players were still involved, including a West Coast rapper. The difference is that Snoop Dogg is swapped out for Xzibit, who plays one of Lucious’ (Terrence Howard) rival.
Coming into tonight, Hakeem (Bryshere “Yazz” Gray) laid out plans of starting his own family. This was difficult, as Hakeem had Anika (Grace Gealey) pregnant, but wanted to marry Laura (Jamila Velazquez). The feds interrupting the wedding and Shine (Xzibit) fighting, ruined this.
When Laura and her family left the wedding, Anika found herself forced to testify against Lucious. There was only one way out, Lucious marries Anika and he did so, breaking Cookie’s (Taraji P. Henson) heart in the process. The “Empire” fans are still buzzing about this one on Twitter.
