London Taj’ier shares story on Facebook of befriending Maia Campbell, initially not knowing who she was, but later giving her chocolate on Valentine’s Day, offering her a place to stay, and donating her clothes, as Campbell works to restore her life

Since 2006, Maia Campbell has had some very public struggles with addiction to drugs and alcohol. It appeared as though Maia Campbell turned things around, in 2013, though. Starting with Iyanla Vanzant featuring her on “Fix My Life,” Campbell made strides.

During that same span of time, Maia Campbell spoke to Hip-HopVibe.com about her upcoming plans. Sadly, by 2017, Maia Campbell was struggling, once again. Some viral videos were shared of her, reminiscent of her 2009 video.

London Taj’ier is a woman on Facebook, who doesn’t live too far from an area where Maia Campbell frequents. As opposed to the people who encountered her, in 2017, London respected Maia enough to not take a photo of her, which Campbell asked her not to do, anyway. Instead, she shared a story of Campbell being self-aware of her issues, and London chose to help her, giving her clothes, candy on Valentine’s Day, and offering her a place to stay, if she ever needed it, and also shared pics of Campbell during her “In The House” days.
