When many think of hip hop sex symbols, they think of LL Cool J. At the peak of his career, LL Cool J enjoyed a twenty-four year run. While LL Cool J swept women off their feet, he also ended a few careers along the way. But, in 2008, LL Cool J decided it was time to end his own career, at least for the time being.

Next month, LL Cool J is scheduled to release his Authentic Hip Hop album, his first studio album in five years. During his time away from the rap game, LL Cool J has crossed over into the mainstream as Sam on “NCIS: LA.” LL Cool J dropped a couple of singles off the album, which caused much discussion.

LL Cool J previously gave VH1 a “Behind the Music” documentary and he spoke about the relationship he had with his parents. Growing up with his grandparents, LL Cool J’s father inadvertently killed his grandfather. But, on the latest edition of Oprah Winfrey’s “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” LL Cool J got more in-depth.
