Last week, Lizzo announced that she would be releasing her first single since 2019, on August 13. This record is titled “Rumors,” and it appeared that it would just feature Lizzo by herself on it. Now, she is adding another one of the biggest stars in the world to it.
On Monday morning, Lizzo posted a video to her social media feeds of her FaceTiming with Cardi B. The two were joking during the call, as Lizzo announced to her fans that Cardi would be featured on Rumors.
“GRAND RISING MUTHAF*CKASSSSS….,” said Lizzo on Instagram. “GUESS WHOS HOPPIN ON ‘RUMORS’ W/ ME?!?”
The last time Lizzo put out music, it was during her breakout 2019, where her “Good As Hell” and “Truth Hurts” singles took off. These were originally released in 2016 and 2017, but finally got their due recognition. Her third studio album, “Cuz I Luv You,” was also released in April 2019, which debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 chart, and is platinum in the US.
