Nearly two weeks ago, Lizzo dropped “Rumors,” featuring Cardi B, to much success. The song was an immediate attention-grabber. But, when she should have been celebrating, there were tears, as the ever-talented artist said she was being fat-shamed.
Lizzo shared a video, where she was crying about being bullied. After the video went viral, Facebook stepped up by deleting hateful comments aimed at her. Because they also own Instagram, degrading comments about her were also deleted, there.
A little over a week after the fat-shaming controversy, Lizzo is celebrating, again. She has good news about her single, “Rumors.” On Twitter, she celebrated her Cardi B-assisted single debuting at number four, on Billboard Hot 100, officially overcoming all of the hate she received, when she dropped her first single, in two years.
