On Donald Trump’s last day as president, he pardoned over 100 people as two were shockingly Kodak Black and Lil Wayne. This didn’t come off as a surprise though as the two rappers oddly endorsed Trump before the 2020 presidential election started. Kodak ended up yesterday and now, Wayne is speaking on the pardon.

“I want to thank President Trump for recognizing that I have so much more to give to my family, my art, and my community. I also want to thank @bradfordcohen for working so diligently to secure another chance for me. Love! – Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.”

Wayne was facing 10 years in prison as last month, he plead guilty to illegally possessing a loaded weapon. This was after being with a gold-plated Remington 1911, .45-caliber handgun loaded with six rounds of ammunition. This weapon was found on a private jet at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport on December 23, 2019. Cocaine, ecstasy, and oxycodone were also found on this plane.

Wayne was also convicted of a felony gun charge in 2009. He served a year in prison then and now, he dodged a huge bullet in this case. He had a big year musically though last year as he put out his 13th studio album, ‘Funeral,’ and the third installment of his ‘No Ceilings‘ mixtape with DJ Khaled.
