Through it all, Lil Wayne remains one of the most-prolific rappers hip hop has ever seen, which is a testament to his groundwork. Lil Wayne has had a busy year in 2013, although with so much other stuff going on, it is pretty easy to overlook him. During the spring, the New Orleans rapper had several seizures.

Finally getting his health together, Lil Wayne dropped his Dedication 5 mixtape, which was the biggest mixtape release of the year. Attention is back to Lil Wayne, but there have been comeback albums from Jay-Z and Kanye West that also have captured attention. Now, Eminem is back and preparing the release of his next album.

Lil Wayne recently talked to Katie Couric in a high-profile interview. In the conversation, which leaked in full today, Lil Wayne spoke on his time in prison, his health situation, Dedication 5, touring, retiring at thirty-five, his Carter Fund charity, and much more. Wayne spoke pretty openly.
