In the mid-2000s, Lil Wayne saw his popularity skyrocket, as he assumed the head position with Cash Money Records. Taking control on both sides of the mic, Lil Wayne also took Jay Z’s position. The title, obviously, was “best rapper alive.”
Although Lil Wayne’s popularity was nothing compared to what it was from 2008 through 2012, he was still number one. Unlike most rappers in this position, Lil Wayne was married. His high school sweetheart, Toya, already had his daughter, Reginae, so they made it official.
Lil Wayne and Toya’s marriage only lasted two years, but they remained friends forever. Since then, Lil Wayne had three more children within months of each other and has been with countless women. Now, it looks like things have gone full circle, as Wayne was caught on tape back with Toya and rumor has it, he wants to make it official, again.
