Lil Wayne is suing Birdman and Cash Money Records for $51 million

Suddenly, things are no longer good at Cash Money Records and their cash cow, Lil Wayne, wants off. But, times were not always like this, they were happy. Back in 2005, Lil Wayne started Young Money under the label and added Drake and Nicki Minaj to the label in 2009.

Lil Wayne’s Young Money imprint kept Cash Money Records on top of the game for well over five years. Delays to Tha Carter V and unpaid royalties have Lil Wayne ready to leave the label. When he said he would leave the label, Lil Wayne said Drake and Nicki Minaj are leaving, too.

Earlier this week, Lil Wayne was said to be considering suing Birdman and the Cash Money label for $8 million. Since then, Lil Wayne has filed a suit and it is much bigger than originally thought. Lil Wayne is suing Cash Money Records for a total of $51 million, according to TMZ.
