Lil Wayne confirms retirement after “Tha Carter V” with MTV News [VIDEO]

Lil Wayne 9Dating back to the pre-Carter III days, Lil Wayne always talked about retiring before turning thirty-five. He said he wanted to take time away from the game to bond with his children, something he is very serious about. But, when Lil Wayne began working on Tha Carter IV, he revealed his full plans.

Lil Wayne said he had more albums that he wanted to do, which included more Rebirth albums, I Am Not A Human Being sequels, and joint albums. It looks like none of these albums will come, however. Tha Carter V is due on May 5 and the plans are the same.

Yesterday, MTV News caught up with Lil Wayne and he talked about Tha Carter V being his final album. The album concludes a career that has had plenty of highlights over the years. In the interview, Lil Wayne made it clear none of these other albums will be coming, as he is retiring after releasing Tha Carter V.
