The 63rd GRAMMYs had its fair share of amazing moments along with some dominant winners last night such as Megan Thee Stallion and Billie Eilish. Many aren’t feeling this awards show at all though as they believe that there is a corrupt process, such as The Weeknd. Now, Lil Wayne continues to feel the same way.
Wayne took to his Twitter feed this afternoon to simply say “F*ck the GRAMMYs.” This comes after Wayne expressed his frustration at the end of 2020 regarding how he isn’t allowed to be involved much at the GRAMMYs these days and wondered why this is the case.
“As an artist, when I see da Grammys coming up & I’m not involved nor invited; I wonder. Is it me , my musik, or just another technicality? I look around w respect & wonder competitively am I not worthy?! Then I look around & see 5 Grammys looking bak at me & I go to the studio.”
The one category that Wayne was nominated for this year though was for Best Recording Package. This is for his 13th studio album, “Funeral,” which was released at the top of 2020. This project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart as many feel that this should’ve been nominated as well.
