Man, it’s been hard to watch Lil Wayne being put on the shelf, and staying there for four years. The last time Lil Wayne had any buzzing music was 2014. At the end of that year, Lil Wayne called Birdman out, and demanded to leave Cash Money Records.
During this time, Jay-Z relaunched TIDAL, and Lil Wayne joined as one of the partners. But, he promoted himself as a “Roc-A-Fella millionaire,” leading people to believe he joined Roc Nation. That deal led to a lawsuit from Cash Money that was eventually dropped.
Early in 2018, Lil Wayne and Birdman have been spotted hanging out together in Miami. It looks different than their 2016 parties, as Wayne seems to be on the same page with him, now. Plus, him showing up at the Birdman album release party makes it way more official.
