Two years ago, Lil Nas X turned into a superstar, after the release of his breakout hit single, “Old Town Road.” The remix with Billy Ray Cyrus really took his stardom to the next level, and then, put out his debut “7” EP.
Another huge record from 7 was “Panini.” This peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and now, has reached another impressive milestone. According to Chart Data, it is now 6x platinum in the US. This is after selling 6 million units.
The 7 project as a whole did very well, too, as it debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart. It contained collabs with Cardi B and Travis Barker as well, and is currently certified platinum.
Nas X has had a huge 2021 as well, as he’s dropped huge hit singles such as “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” and “Sun Goes Down.” He is expected to finally put out his debut studio album, before the end of the summer.
