Lil Nas X is Interested in Collaborating With Frank Ocean; Met Ocean at 2021 Met Gala [VIDEO]

Lil Nas X is one of the biggest artists in the world right now, as he’s put out plenty of hit records, in 2021. These include the chart-topping “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)“, “Sun Goes Down,” and “Industry Baby,” ft. Jack Harlow. His debut studio album, “Montero,” was also released this month, as it debuted at number two, on the Billboard 200 chart.

Nas X also spoke with Any Cohen on SiriusXM about possible collaborations that he’d like to make happen. One name that Nas X brought up, is Frank Ocean. Both have come out as gay men, and Nas X says that Ocean “represents a lot” to him.

“I feel like I’ve met so many great people, but definitely Frank Ocean is top of my list because for one, you know, he represents a lot to me and you’d never see Frank Ocean anywhere. Like he’s one of those people that are not real, you know?” Outside of social media that was the first time we met, like, ever.”

Nas X added that the two initially met, for the first time, at the 2021 Met Gala, this month. The two gave each other their props, on their success, and that’s when Nas X expressed his interested in a possible collaboration.

“We just like, you know, [he was] giving props and congratulations and whatnot. And I was just saying the same thing to him. And just like how much, like his music has shaped my life and whatnot, and hoping to collaborate with him. You know, I was, I was telling him that too.”

Nas X continues to win big, and has proven that he is able to create hits consistently. A record with Frank Ocean would prove that even further.
