Lil Nas X has pissed off country music fans, again, because he has a new partnership with Wrangler Jeans, and country music fans say Wrangler isn’t hip hop culture, threatening boycott

Early this year, Lil Nas X released “Old Town Road” and immediately made history. He was the first artist to have a number one song on the hip hop and country charts. But, backlash led to “Old Town Road” being removed from the country music charts.

Lil Nas X continued pushing his record and Billy Ray Cyrus jumped on the remix. This co-sign reminded older fans of Nelly and Tim McGraw, with “Over & Over,” from 2004. Like their predecessors, Lil Nas X and Billy Ray topped Billboard, with their single.

Despite having the top song in the country, Lil Nas X faces continued backlash. As the first rapper to have true country music appeal, companies are now cashing in. Wrangler Jeans and Lil Nas X formed a partnership, which has country fans highly pissed, as they are threatening to boycott Wrangler.
