Lil Nas X Encourages Fans To Keep Streaming “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” Single as It May Be Taken Off Streaming Services Soon

Lil Nas X has been creating a lot of controversy over the past month with his “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” single. The record as a whole has been approved by many but the music video was what brought a lot of negative reactions. In those visuals, Nas X was seen twerking on Satan.

Now, Nas X has some surprising news. He took to Twitter this afternoon to reveal that Montero may be off of streaming service soon so he wants everyone to keep streaming as much as possible. This is after it recently hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart as well.

“Not even joking. everybody stream call me by your name hard today because it may no longer be available tomorrow and there’s nothing i can really do about it. Thanks for all the support tho!”

Nas X even went as far as asking fans to screen record the song or music video in case it does actually get taken down. Fans have since wondered what is going on and what lead to this possible circumstance happening.

Nas X was also in a legal controversy with Nike after releasing his own Nike Air Max 97 “Satan Shoes” with MSCHF. MSCHF was hit with a trademark infringement lawsuit. A settlement was reached last week after Nike was able to get a judge to halt additional sales of the shoes.
