During his 2021 run, Lil Nas X has resorted to trolling, in order to win. But, to his credit, the trolling has worked for him. To gain attention, he has gone as far as embracing demons, which led to a Nike lawsuit, all bringing major attention to his music.
Lil Nas X went about things the controversial way, but he returned to the top of the charts. The “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” single reached number one. Meanwhile, the Montero album debuted at number two, on the album charts.
With his debut album, Lil Nas X embraced his sexuality. In 2019, during his “Old Town Road” run, Nas X was outed as a gay man. But, on Twitter, a fan asked him if he supports gay people, and continuing his trolling, Nas X said he does not.
