During the weekend, Lil’ Kim was receiving tons of shine. As she did last year, Lil’ Kim performed at Summer Jam and Remy Ma performed with her. But, the good news keeps coming for Lil’ Kim, who received an honor in Brooklyn.
Lil’ Kim hasn’t dropped a hit record, in over a decade, but when she did drop hits, she dropped enough to become a legend. While she definitely was aided by having OGs with her, Kim earned her own stripes. She set all the major records for female artists, of all genres.
This afternoon, Lil’ Kim earned the Proclamation to the City, in her native Brooklyn. Alongside her, there was Styles P and Maino, who honored her. With Maino handing her the plaque, Lil’ Kim delivered a speech about artists never giving up.
