Lil Durk tells the Chicago hip hop scene to step up in Instagram rant [VIDEO]

Lil DurkIn 2012, the Chicago hip hop scene re-emerged and went from the streets to the mainstream with a Kanye West co-sign. This opened the door for Lil Durk to do his thing. Already big on the mixtape scene, his movement was soon seen, nationally.

Lil Durk talked to Hip Hop Vibe’s DJ Louie Styles, earlier this year, and he spoke on his then-new music. In the following months, Lil Durk released both Signed To The Streets 3 and Remember My Name. The latter of which was his sophomore album.

Early this morning, Lil Durk took to his Instagram and went on a rant about his city. He was going off on the hip hop scene, particularly the DJs and the producers. The message Lil Durk was giving them was to step up and embrace their own.
