The BET Awards just kicked off in Los Angeles and it opened with a dope performance from Offset and Cardi B with their song “Clout” and Cardi’s “Press.” The first award of the night was just presented as well and it was for Best New Artist. That went to Quality Control Music artist Lil Baby.
Baby winning this award is a bit confusing considering the fact that he blew up in the summer of 2017 with his hit single “My Dawg.” Nonetheless, he’s been putting out hot mixtapes since then such as “Too Hard.” “Drip Harder” with Gunna, “Harder Than Ever” and his debut studio album “Street Gossip.”
Baby is also building momentum for summer 2018 as he just released his “Out The Mud” single featuring Future. Check out him accepting his award below.
