Lil Baby has arguably been the hottest artist of 2020 and it all started from the momentum built from his 2019. He started the year buzzing with his “Woah” and “Sum 2 Prove” singles and he followed those up with his sophomore album, ‘My Turn‘ in February. The deluxe edition kept him even more lit as it contained additional hits such as “All In” and “We Paid” feat. 42 Dugg. Songs from the album such as We Paid have gone gold Woah is 2x platinum, Sum 2 Prove is platinum, and so is “Emotionally Scarred.” My Turn as a whole has been certified platinum as well.

Baby’s new “The Bigger Picture” song which addresses racism and police brutality in America is also currently at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and My Turn is the No. 1 song in the country again on the Billboard 200. Now, Baby is starting to make the price go up.

The Quality Control Music rapper took to his Twitter handle to say “At this point it’s safe to say I want 100k for a feature.” For any upcoming artist, this is a tough price to pay to get Baby on a record but for many established artists, this may not be so much of a challenge. It’ll be interesting to see who Baby makes the exception for. In the meantime, fans are waiting for him to release his highly anticipated ‘Lamborghini Boys‘ mixtape.
