On Friday, Lil Durk and Lil Baby finally released their highly anticipated “The Voice Of The Heroes” album. This was initially set for a May 28 release date, but Durk and Baby wanted to push it back a way out of respect for DMX’s posthumous “Exodus” album. Following the duo’s release, social media rejoiced as they loved what they’ve been hearing out of The Voice Of The Heroes.
The Voice Of The Heroes contains 18 tracks in total with appearances from Meek Mill, Travis Scott, Rod Wave, and Young Thug. Some of the most popular records so far have been “Voice Of The Heroes,” “2040” and “Hats Off” feat. Travis Scott. Now, the projected first numbers are in, and Durk and Lil Baby are heading for a big week.
According to Chart Data, The Voice of the Heroes is aiming for a number one debut on the Billboard 200. This is with between 165-180,000 units sold and 200 million streams accumulated.
This album had been in the making for a while as Baby and Durk have seen much success together over the past year. Last summer, Baby appeared on Durk’s “3 Headed Goat” single, which also included Polo G. That record soon went platinum. In April of this year, the two appeared on DJ Khaled’s “Every Chance I Get,” from the new “KHALED KHALED” album. Both Baby and Durk also put out solo albums in 2020 that both reached the top two of the Billboard 200.
