Last night, LeBron James finally got revenge, against the Golden State Warriors. After the Cavs’ upset 2016 Finals win, LeBron went 1-8, against Golden State. Prior to his 2020 NBA Finals win, over the Miami Heat, LeBron lost two championships, to the Warriors, in embarrassing fashion.
LeBron James isn’t just one of the most-tenured players, in the NBA, he has also played for several teams. With each team, LeBron has his own signature rivalries. His first stint in Cleveland saw the Wizards as his rival, Miami saw the Spurs, and his second Cleveland run was the Warriors.
The rivalry LeBron James shares with the Golden State Warriors has carried over into his run, with the Lakers. After an injury-plagued season, the Lakers had to play in the NBA Playoff Play-In tournament, just to reach the playoffs. Their first game was against Golden State, and LeBron hit the game-winner, over Stephen Curry, for the win.
In the post-game interview, LeBron James joked and said he saw “three rims,” due to being poked in the eye. He said he aimed for the middle one, which is what would give LA the win, over Golden State.
