Early in his career, LeBron James was compared to Michael Jordan. James was drafted the same year MJ retired, for the final time. As LeBron lost in the NBA Finals and failed to win titles, it was clear he wasn’t Michael. After joining the Miami Heat, winning two titles, and playing in four straight NBA Finals, it was clear he was LeBron.

Charting his own course, LeBron James returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers. In his second stint, LeBron led the Cavaliers to four straight NBA Finals appearances. He did the impossible, in 2016, and led them to a title against the 73-9 Golden State Warriors. LeBron led Cleveland back from a 3-1 series deficit to beat the best team in NBA history. That was his sixth straight Finals appearance, which would be a part of eight straight Finals appearances.

LeBron James would sign with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018. Missing the 2019 playoffs, LeBron’s Finals run ended, but he led the Lakers to the 2020 NBA championship. Since then, the Lakers have struggled, but LeBron James’ legend is certified. Crypto.com had LeBron James star in their Super Bowl commercial with a CGI younger LeBron James. Advising his younger self, LeBron James is trending on Twitter, due to the commercial.
