When Kyrie Irving joined the Brooklyn Nets, it was supposed to be the start of a dynasty. Already, the Nets were a playoff team, but when they landed Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, a title became the expectation. Later, James Harden was added to the roster.

The Brooklyn Nets were dangerous when their trio played together. Sadly, that only happened a few times, but they won 90% of those games. When the vaccine mandates came, Kyrie Irving refused to get the vaccine. This forced Kevin Durant and James Harden to play together, without Irving.

Despite this, the Nets still managed to take the top seed in the East. An injury to Kevin Durant led to the Nets going on a nine game losing streak, where James Harden was traded. During this losing streak, Kyrie Irving began playing road games. The damage is now done and the Nets are competing for a play-in spot, just like the Lakers. On social media, people are pushing for Kyrie Irving to be allowed to play home games. His former teammate, LeBron James, echoed this statement, saying it makes zero sense that Kyrie Irving can attend home games, but he can’t play.
