While Rock didn’t mention Jada’s hair directly, he did tell a G.I. Jane joke. Will Smith walked onto the stage and struck Rock in the face over the joke.
Chris Rock was just as confused as the audience, both in the room, and on television. Will Smith walking on stage seemed like a skit. However, Will Smith began screaming and cursing at Chris Rock. When Will Smith began shouting at Chris Rock, it was clear he was really mad. Repeatedly, Will Smith shouted at Chris Rock to not mention Jada.
