L.A. Reid launching music streaming service similar to TIDAL

Coming up on a decade since Jay Z took over as CEO of Def Jam, before stepping down in 2008, a lot of talk is being made about it. Many of the moves Jay Z made were done in conjunction with L.A. Reid. While Jay Z was the CEO, the chairman of the company was L.A. Reid.

Jay Z solidified himself as the most-savvy businessman in hip hop. He has done work with various companies and always come out on top. But, this has not been the case with TIDAL, his music streaming service that the media seems to be rooting for to fail.

Last week, there were rumors of Sony running interference and blocking their artists from being on TIDAL. Doug Morris, the chairman of Sony, came forward to deny those rumors. Now, there are rumors of L.A. Reid launching a rival music streaming service to go against TIDAL.
