On November 13, Kodak Black was sentenced to 46 months in prison for falsifying information on gun applications in Florida. The firearms he was able to obtain were also found at multiple crime scenes. He was originally arrested at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami back in May on these charges. Prior to that, he was arrested at the U.S. border on gun charges as well.
Kodak has since asked to enter a drug rehab program and wants to take business and marketing classes in prison. Now, he continues to give back to the community. According to his attorney, Bradford Cohen, the Florida rapper is giving away thousands of dollars in Publix gift cards to families for Thanksgiving. These are going to the Broward and Dade County areas.
Cohen added that Kodak says he’s determined to give back, even from jail. He also recently provided Thanksgiving dinners to 75 families for Paradise Childcare, which is childcare for low income families in need. Cohen says that Kodak could’ve gotten 96 months but the length went down to 46 due to his charitable work.
