Kodak Black Gets One Year in Prison For Gun Case Involving Bringing Firearm To Canadian Border; Will Run Concurrently With Current 46-Month Sentence

Kodak Black was sentenced to 46 months in prison back in November due to charges of falsifying information on gun applications. His arrest took place in Miami at the Rolling Loud festival. He received some bad news today as well as he got hit with one year in prison for gun charges dating back to April of 2019, according to Buffalo News.

This incident was due to Kodak and two others bringing a gun to the Canadian border. Three weeks ago, he plead guilty to attempted second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Luckily for the Florida rapper though, these 12 months will run concurrently with the 46-month sentence.

Kodak and the three men were initially arrested after being caught with marijuana and the Glock 9mm inside a Cadillac Escalade. Bradford Cohen, Kodak’s lawyer claimed that the case should’ve been resolved because the two men with him testified that he didn’t know that the gun was in the car. It turned out that the gun was actually registered though and belonged to one of the men.
