Not even a year after the George Floyd murder, Minneapolis is in uproar, again. Police officer, Kim Potter, a 26-year veteran, on the force, murdered Daunte Wright. Her claim is that she thought she was shooting him, with a taser.
Kim Potter has sparked outrage, in Minneapolis, as George Floyd’s killer, Officer Derek Chauvin, is standing trial. The city is protesting, once again. People are upset, demanding justice, as Kim Potter made the decision to resign her job, in the midst of the controversy.
This afternoon, Kim Potter’s mugshot has been released, quickly going viral. For the murder of Daunte Wright, Potter is facing charges. It was confirmed that she will be charged with second degree manslaughter.
