Recently, the hip hop discussion forums have been having a debate about 1990s hip hop. Everyone knows there is a stark difference between the hip hop of the 1980s, and early 1990s, than that of the mid-1990s, to the mid-200s. Each debates on what happened.

Kid ‘N Play took over the late 1980s and dominated into the early 1990s. Back then, it was all about the duos, as Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff had a strong run. They turned it into “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” while Kid ‘N Play turned theirs into House Party.

However, most know that House Party was originally pitched to Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff. Recently, N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN had Kid ‘N Play, down in Miami, and they spoke on this. The two also spoke on touring with NWA and all that came with that.
