The West Coast hip hop scene returned to prominence behind music from Kid Ink and many others. Despite having a strong run in 2013, Kid Ink didn’t release his debut album until early 2014. His album had him buzzing from the opening days of 2014, until the spring.

Since the spring, Kid Ink has kept busy on the road, performing his recent hits. His music has a certain chemistry with DJ Mustard, like every artist seemingly has. But, Kid Ink is a star and he lives the life, accordingly, traveling all over the world with his music and recently landing in Canada.

Kid Ink visited Montreal and sat down with Montreality for an exclusive interview. They started in an unorthodx place, asking Kid Ink about his favorite cartoon character. From there, Kid Ink went on to discuss his opinion on current West Coast albums, how many records Eminem has sold over the years, and much more.
