During the early days of G.O.O.D. Music., Kanye West built a roster of outcasts and Kid Cudi emerged as a star. A shift took place in 2011, when G.O.O.D. Music partnered with Def Jam. This period of time also saw Pusha T and Big Sean emerge prominent on the label.
Despite Kid Cudi being Big Sean’s good friend/mentor, the two had a falling out after Cudi’s 2013 departure. This was due to Big Sean getting involved with Jhene Aiko, Dot Da Genius (Kid Cudi’s friend) wife. Since then, G.O.O.D. signed Tyga and Kid Cudi dissed Kanye West.
There is some weird back-and-forth with Kanye West and Kid Cudi, which may go unresolved, for now. Recently, Kid Cudi took to Facebook and revealed he was still enduring depression and suicidal thoughts. Because of this, Kid Cudi has decided to check himself into rehab.
