Question. Who was the leading female in R&B from 2006 through 2009? The correct answer is Keyshia Cole, although a lot of people may have argued that Beyonce had the biggest run during that period of time, but when it came down to longevity, she had it.
During that period of time, Keyshia Cole and Beyonce were somewhat pit against each other in the media. But, Keyshia Cole took time off in 2009-2010 and she is now facing Beyonce and a new crop of leading ladies, such as K. Michelle. Her run appeared to be over and her work with The-Dream appears to be in the past.
Keyshia Cole stopped by Power 105.1 to talk to “The Breakfast Club” about a lot of stuff. She started in talking about her “Rick James” record with Juicy J, which she discussed with Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy. In the interview, Keyshia Cole talked about the Beyonce situation, divorcing Daniel Gibson, The-Dream, her new album, Jeezy, and she got an apology out of Charlamagne.
